What Is A
Stronghold?
What the world calls addiction, the Bible calls a stronghold: a place where destructive patterns take root and hold power over a person and, often, their identity. Strongholds are not merely physical struggles—they are often fortified thoughts, beliefs, or habits that have not yet been confronted with God’s truth.

The good news is that if we get the spiritual side right, the physical must then set us free. And this freedom ultimately comes through Jesus Christ, who holds all power.

"For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds." (2 Corinthians 10:4, NKJV)
"Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed." (John 8:36, NKJV)
About
Strongholds Sessions
Strongholds Sessions were born out of a need Pastor Willie Davis noticed among the people he was ministering to. Many individuals, especially those recently released from incarceration, were sharing struggles they were facing related to mental health and/or addiction. They had often attended other groups but didn’t feel those spaces were the right fit. However, many knew they could trust their church family and felt safe being themselves there.

After a prayerful season of studying other types of groups and seeking direction from the Holy Spirit, Strongholds Sessions were created. These sessions bring together those who seek help for mental health challenges with addiction, depression, anxiety, or other conditions - connecting them with both spiritual and clinical support.
